The House

We are the second owners of the beautiful ‘maison de maître’ which dates from around 1800s.  In its heyday Léran was a thriving centre for textiles and tanning and the original owners, the Bez family, were central to this vital economy. The house is at one end of a terrace and was originally used by senior management for the Bez industries but became the family home last century.

The Central areaThe house is perfectly positioned in the centre of this small village of Léran (population 600) but has wonderfully private grounds. Once inside, the house is deceptively large.  The elegant staircase ascends from a central area and provides access to the bedrooms on the first and second floors.

Broadband access is available free of charge. There is free computer access for guests use and access to broadband is available in each room.

The Courtyard

Originally the site of a protestant chapel this space has been converted into a courtyard – a serene private garden perfect for evening meals. The courtyard is redolent with the scents of flowering jasmine and roses, lavender, rosemary and lemon thyme.

The garden, a green oasis, has an in-ground salt water pool, rose and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, wild cyclamens and strawberries.
